Ever After

To live ever after
Is such a grand desire
That each individual strives for
At one time or another in their life
A desire that yearns to find that gift
Which seems to last forever

But to live to find a love like is found only in a dream
For when we dreams we eventually wake up,
Only to find our dream shattered into a nightmare
So why do it? Why fall for just one small feeling
For one split second in a lifetime
All for love?

They say to experience such a tender and fragile gift
One must find what's in themselves first
Who they really are
Learn to love yourself
And appreciate tha you, may just be worth something special
So special it will catch the eye of another
Who will love you for who you are
And not for the mask
from which you hide yourself from the world everyday
Let yourself free from all the pressures
That try to dictate who you are
or who you could become

Sometimes the best gifts in life are takes with the biggest risks
It may cause some heartache
But to have just one taste of life
To savor the delicious flavors and breathe in its sweet scents
Would just satisfy my ever lonely, empty soul
